2007 Veterans Day PowWow

Our 2007 Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Veteran's Day PowWow was held on November 9 - November 11, 2007. Our dancer entries were not as numerous as before, but those that came were excellent dancers and were exciting to watch. We had many dancers come from Texas, Louisianna, Alabama, and Tennessee. Our host drums were Northern: Medicine Tail and Southern: Southern Pine. Our MC was Harold "Doc" Comby and our AD was Thomas Muskrat. Head Man and Head Lady Dancers were chosen daily: Friday was Lloyd Thompson and Peggy Williams; Saturday was Randy Solomon and Meredith Printup; and Sunday was Quannah Whitethunder and Traci Poncho. Our Head Gourd dancers were as follows: Friday: Ken Dixon; Saturday: Dick Whiteside; and Sunday: Ron Alex. Many thanks to everyone!
